Eckenrode-Maupin attorneys, Tad Eckenrode and Rachel Schafer, received a unanimous defense verdict in just twenty-nine minutes after a four-day trial in St. Louis County.  This case involved a patient who contended that she received negligent medical care from her OB/GYN.  She alleged that that her OB/GYN should have delivered her baby earlier than scheduled, and that she suffered a stillbirth because he did not do so.  And as a result, she suffered emotional distress damages.  The defense disputed these claims and contended that the doctor met the standard of care and provided appropriate treatment to the plaintiff throughout her pregnancy.
